Brave’s new web search engine focuses on privacy, and thanks to these attributes it is globally known; it provides security and authenticity.
However, recently it continues to innovate, and shows in its catalog the beta version of its own search engine. Therefore, Brave Search would be the name for this new product, which is available for testing.
The search engine is open to anyone who enters Brave’s main website, so it is enabled and they can start using the beta version, regardless of whether it is installed on their computer or mobile version.
In the coming months their intention is to make Brave Search the default search engine for their own browser.
This is undoubtedly great competition for Google, who is currently in greater demand, so Brave Search is looking to leverage both products with its focus on private, tracker-free browsing.
Brave now has its own web browser
Based on the significant steps Brave has taken with its new web search engine, it is clear that it will be just as good as its browser interface.
It should be recalled that last March, Brave acquired Tailcat, an open search engine with roots in Cliqz. With its own search index, the platform does not track users or collect their information to create profiles.
It is important to note that some of the functions of this search engine still depend on external services; in the case of image searches, it is based on Microsoft Bing, but the company itself clarifies that this information is not registered.
The interesting thing is that this version of Brave Search does not include ads; however, they have confirmed that the service will offer two versions, one paid and one free.
There are two paid and free versions, with one version not showing ads and the other version showing advertising content.
